Cox Marine signs OEM supply agreement with Hammer Yachts

Shoreham-by-Sea, UK-based diesel outboard engine builder Cox Marine and its US distributor, Ring Power, have signed an OEM supply agreement with Dania Beach, Florida-based fibreglass boat builder Hammer Yachts.

Florida-based boatbuilder Hammer Yachts has become the newest boatbuilder partner for UK-based diesel outboard manufacturer Cox Marine

According to Cox and Ring Power, the new partnership with the manufacturer of the HammerCat 35 power catamaran represents a long-term strategic partnership to grow the market share for diesel outboards in North America, and particularly in the lucrative south-eastern US saltwater fishing market.

“We are thrilled to welcome Hammer Yachts as our newest OEM boat partner,” said Pat Bucci, vice president at Ring Power’s Cox Marine division. “This collaboration aligns with our commitment to providing top-notch products and services. The advanced technology of Cox Marine diesel outboards will enhance the performance and efficiency of the Hammer Cat 35, offering customers an unparalleled boating experience.”

Bucci notes the Cox diesel outboard enjoys a competitive advantage in the offshore fishing segment with fuel savings of up to 30%, allowing captains to travel further from port in quest of big fish. The engines also offer lower emissions and robust torque for powering the larger and heavier vessels that have grown increasingly popular among saltwater anglers.

“The partnership with Hammer Yachts is a significant step in expanding the reach of Cox Marine diesel outboard engines to a wider audience,” he said.
