Delivery is set for spring 2024
Sanlorenzo Asia, represented by Simpson Marine, has announced that Asia’s first hull of the new 2022 model Sanlorenzo SP110 has been sold shortly after her world premiere at the Cannes Yachting Festival and is set for delivery in spring 2024.
The SP110 is the first model from Sanlorenzo’s new open Smart Performance (SP) series and offers impressive performance, topping 40kt of speed at the lowest fuel consumption. The water jet propulsion by triple Volvo IPS 2000HP engines ensures top efficiency and comfort at every speed range and onboard solar panels supply power to run the hotel load.
The SP110 is a collaboration between Bernardo Zuccon for the exterior, Tilli Antonelli for product development, Marco Arnaboldi for the hull design, and Piero Lissoni for the interiors. It is the result of an ambitious design goal: to guarantee high performance with maximum energy efficiency thanks to a fractional propulsion system consisting of three significantly smaller engines, with the best weight/power ratio.
Depending on the conditions and the owner’s needs, the boat is able to move around using just one engine, a pair, or all three, thus allowing great flexibility, low consumption, and a different autonomy depending on the desired speed.
“We are delighted to have received the first order for this amazing new yacht by Sanlorenzo, which pushes the boundaries of design, performance and sustainability to the next level,” says Nick Stratton, Sanlorenzo Asia sales manager. “It is an incredibly powerful yacht that is at the same time elegant, light, nearly silent at high speeds, and provides incredibly smooth handling.
“We have witnessed how successful she was at the Cannes Yachting Festival 2022, becoming one of the most iconic reveals of this season. The show was very successful for Sanlorenzo Asia, who assisted customers in selecting their own yachts from the Sanlorenzo collection. The sale of SP110 is tangible proof that Asian customers are ready for the next level in Fast Performance yachting.”
At 33.5m long and 8m wide, the two-level yacht will feature a three-cabin plus office layout. Construction will make use of state-of-the-art, lightweight materials and the owners will collaborate with the yard to develop a bespoke interior design.
Following the sale of SP110, two more significant sales of Asia’s first SX100 and another hull of the SD118 were announced with more imminent orders following the recent yacht shows held in Cannes and Monaco.
