The Dutch yard is entering a new market segment with the Saffier SL46 Med
boot Düsseldorf 2025 is bound to be a major milestone for Saffier Yachts. For over 20 years, the Dutch yard has been making exceptional, high-end single-handed sailing yachts from 21ft-46ft (6.5m-14m).
They boast advanced technology, such as electric propulsion, advanced sail handling, composite hulls, modern nav-and-comm systems and innovative designs that maximise deck space and comfort.
Today, Saffier builds about 100 of these yearly and markets them worldwide.

At Düsseldorf, it will unveil its maiden luxury cabin cruiser, the SL 46 Med, a yacht that comes in two versions.
“We are excited to announce the global debut of our latest masterpiece, the Saffier SL 46 Med, at boot Düsseldorf 2025,” says the yard. “From January 18-26, we are thrilled to offer you the exclusive opportunity to experience this groundbreaking yacht for the very first time.”
With the Saffier SL46, the yard enters a new market segment from the one it serves with its fast open-cockpit sailboats. Can that go wrong? Saffier Yachts thinks not.
“With the Saffier SL 46 Med, we continue to enhance our reputation for exceptional sailing yachts, expanding our offerings in this market,” says the yard. “Designed for comfort, performance, and single-handed operation, the SL 46 Med takes Saffier Yachts’ renowned quality and craftsmanship to new heights.”
The last time the Dutch yard launched a cabin sailboat was in 2017. It was the Saffier SC 8m (26ft). However, its cabin was far from the high-end finish of the SL 46 Med, more like a shelter.
At Düsseldorf, Saffier plans to show the 46 Med and 46 North versions.
The 46 Med has more outdoor living qualities, such as an unmatched spacious cockpit, a convertible deck layout, and ergonomic seating. It also has an open aft deck lounge with twin helmsman seats that transform into lounge beds. The North has a sheltered cockpit and extra storage space under the sundeck for a dinghy.
