The owner’s personalized masterpiece, Heesen, delivered its first 57m all-aluminium superboat, the Santosha

Heesen Yachts of the Netherlands is pleased to announce the delivery of the YN 20457 model “Santosha”, a highly personalised superyacht built to meet the unique tastes and preferences of its new owners. The superyacht is now embarking on its maiden voyage to Plymouth, England.

The Sanskrit name “Santosha” was chosen by the owner and means “contentment”. The Santosha features a sleek and elegant exterior designed by Omega Architects, as well as Marine engineering by Van Oossanen naval Architects and builder Heesen Yacht. The interiors were painted by British studio Harrison Eidsgaard, with Peter Wilson acting as the owner’s representative throughout the construction process.

“Santosha” is a testament to versatility, designed to deliver exceptional speed, performance and stability. During sea trials in the North Sea, she performed well, demonstrating quiet operation and superior ability in a variety of sea conditions. Heesen’s captain Bob van Zundert expressed his enthusiasm: “The yacht responded well and provided a smooth and exciting experience.”

Powered by two IMO Tier III compliant MTU 16V 4000 M65L engines and with an efficient hull design, the Santosha achieved an impressive top speed of 22 knots, a remarkable feat for a superyacht with a half-load displacement of around 510 tonnes.
