Ferretti launches first Infynito 80 at new Italian yard

The first Ferretti Yachts Infynito 80 launched last month at Marina di Ravenna, the Ferretti Group’s new Italian production site. Acquired in March 2023, the yard will be fully operational from 2025 and is now home to five production lines for the Ferretti Yachts and Wally brands, with a daily workforce that already numbers 200 people.

The 23.7m (78ft) Infynito 80 joins the Infynito 90 and has the signature characteristics of the range – environmental friendliness, flexibility and innovative layouts – including the iconic All-Season Terrace, a much-loved architectural feature and the winner of some prestigious awards. It is the result of a collaboration between the Product Strategy Committee led by Piero Ferrari and the Ferretti Group Engineering Department, with exterior design by architect Filippo Salvetti and interiors by Ideaitalia.

The Infynito 80 features the range’s F.S.E.A. technology (Ferretti Sustainable Enhanced Architecture), a package of sustainability-driven, environment-friendly solutions. They include a fast displacement hull optimised to improve fuel efficiency and minimise environmental impact, a special focus on the use of green materials (such as natural fabrics, regenerated leather, recyclable materials, ecological water-based paints and lamellar teak with FSC 5 certification), and an integrated system that stores the solar energy collected by the photovoltaic panels installed on the hard top and on the roof of the All-Season Terrace in an Energy Bank.

The upper deck on the Infynito 90 is replaced on this unit by a completely open sundeck, with a hard-top providing shade for the dining area and helm station. The stern area on the upper deck, reserved for sunbathing, is furnished with freestanding sun loungers.

The main deck layout features a main salon with twin face-to-face sofas and a TV that swings down from the ceiling. The galley occupies the forward section of the deck, with a recessed electric window that looks onto the All-Season Terrace, one of the highlights of the entire range. Sheltered by an extension to the superstructure for greater protection and privacy, this terrace is a comfortable private space containing a dinette or bar area and a generous sofa.

The lower deck has four guest cabins, all with en-suite bathroom, sleeping a total of eight. The crew area amidships can be entered privately from the walkway on the port side and contains two separate cabins sleeping three.

The first unit is fitted with optional twin MAN V12 – 1400mHP engines and can reach a top speed of 22kt and a cruising speed of 17kt. The standard version with MAN V12 – 1200 mHP engines has a top speed 20kt and a cruising speed of 15kt. With the new high-efficiency hull, the yacht has a range of 1,200Nm at economy cruising speed (10kt).
