Dream Yacht Sales (DYS), the yacht sales division of Dream Yacht Worldwide, has launched a yacht management program that allows new Excess catamaran owners to embark on a custom round-the-world sailing voyage of a year or longer, with support from the company’s global network of base locations.
The program, named Dream Odyssey, makes sailing through some of the world’s most far-flung cruising grounds more attainable with the peace of mind that comes with technical support and access to dockage at nearly 40 worldwide Dream Yacht bases.
“We’ve found that the dream of sailing around the world is a very common one among our charter customers and would-be yacht owners,” says Dream Yacht’s deputy CEO, Dan Lockyer. “Our Dream Odyssey offering seemed an organic extension of our charter and sales businesses, making best use of our extensive network of bases and expert staff while enabling our new yacht owners to achieve their sailing dreams with access to support and therefore less stress.”
The Dream Odyssey program is available to new owners purchasing a 37ft Excess 11 or 46ft Excess 14 catamaran from Dream Yacht. The Excess catamarans are specially equipped for their voyages, with further customisation for the owner’s layout and equipment preferences.
Program participants choose from five sailing routes that can be sailed individually, or combined sequentially. Itineraries include ocean crossings, canal passages, and cruiser playgrounds like French Polynesia, Tonga for whale watching, Australia’s Great Barrier Reef, the Caribbean and more.
Participation in the ARC (Atlantic Rally for Cruisers) is also an option, allowing cruisers the opportunity to experience a 2,700Nm ocean crossing event from the Canary Islands to St Lucia.
Participants choose their ports of call and set their own pace throughout their voyage. Dream Yacht provides access to support every step of the way, with a team of experienced technicians who will facilitate expert technical assistance as needed during the voyage.
At the end of their Dream Odyssey voyage, owners have the option to sell their yacht with Dream Yacht’s brokerage support, or place it in Dream Yacht’s charter fleet, earning them a potential revenue stream and continued access to owner sailing weeks each year.
