A new Spanish boat brand, Kattum Yachts, had its world premiere at the recent Barcelona International Boat Show with the launch of its first-ever model, the 7.98m (26ft) Kattum 28.
The K28 is an open-style sports boat concept, with a large console and modular space, and a displacement of 2,800kg. It is motorised with 2 x 200hp outboards and supports a maximum power of up to 600hp.
The new boat can accommodate up to 10 people and was designed by the owners’ nautical engineers.
Kattum Yachts undertakes its build activities at the Faeton (Astondoa) facilities in Murcia, which is where it built the Kattum 28 that made its debut at the Barcelona show. The company is now developing its second model, the larger K38 catamaran which has a hull length of 9.98m (33ft).
The K-38 is a sporty cruising boat with a large cockpit that is fully-utilised, modular exterior spaces and an interior with two cabins and two toilets. The boat displaces 7,000kg, has 900 litres of fuel and 200 litres of water, and is propelled with two 350hp outboards, although it admits a maximum power of 1,200hp.
Kattum Yachts was founded in 2022 by naval engineers Daniel Hernández and Félix López, who between them have almost a decade of experience in the sector.
