Windy 34 Alizé makes international debut at Cannes

Espen Øino-designed yacht is a sibling to the Shamal

The Alizé sports an aggressive deep-V hull and powerful Volvo engine options

Scandinavia’s Windy Boats unveiled the new Windy 34 Alizé at the Cannes Yachting Festival this week.

The Alizé is the highly anticipated sibling to the Shamal, which was designed by Espen Øino and introduced to the Windy range in 2020. The Espen Øino studio has once again brought its award-winning style to this 34ft model.

The Alizé sports an aggressive deep-V hull and powerful Volvo engine options. As standard, she comes powered with a single Volvo Penta D6-440 DPI engine. Other engine options include twin D6-440’s, which will deliver a top speed of 50kt.

The boat’s layout comprises a generous cockpit with two cabins, a galley, and a shower compartment. The arrangement allows for day-long guest entertainment and the amenities for an extended stay.

In addition to the large sunbed and passageway to port, the seat aft of the helmsman’s position can be slid back and the cockpit table can be lowered to create a second sunbed. An optional wet bar with a refrigerator and sink can be added to the cockpit setup.

The Alizé is available with an American walnut finish or a contemporary ice-cool oak. The interior is fitted with a well-equipped galley, double bed, and overhead cupboards run throughout. Additional twin beds are located to aft, which can easily convert to a larger double bed, allowing up to four people to sleep comfortably.
