Second Benetti Class 44M superyacht Fortitude1 delivered

Italian shipyard Benetti has delivered the latest entry in its flagship Class 44M series, Fortitude1. The 44.1-metre superyacht was delivered to her owner, a loyal Benetti client, from the yard’s production facilities in Viareggio, Italy, over the weekend. According to BOATPro, she is now en route to Malta.

The fibreglass model hit the water last month, unveiling her exterior and interiors that carry the signature penmanship of Italian studio Giorgio M. Cassetta. The exterior layout is said to “reinterpret the signature features of the Class line”, with custom touches, including a large forward sunpad on the upper deck. She follows in the footsteps of the first unit, Juno’s 7, which was launched and delivered earlier this year.

Outdoor offerings include a spacious beach area and main deck aft, designed to “encourage moments of relaxation and conviviality”. The interiors continue the theme, with oversized windows, clean lines and white marble flooring creating inviting living spaces.

Accommodation across the four-deck yacht is for 12 guests across six cabins, including a full-beam master suite. Low-profile bulwarks offer direct views of the water from the lounge on the main deck and, above, the upper deck seats 10 around its dining table.

A clever layout, generous storage capacity and range of 4,100 nautical miles make Fortitude1 suitable for long-range cruising.

“Benetti is synonymous with quality, heritage and innovation. That is why the owner has chosen us once again, [and] the trust that clients place in us is a great source of pride,” added Daniela Petrozzi, sales director at Benetti. The yacht was completed as a “full-service” project by Burgess.

The news comes at a very busy time for the Italian yard, with the construction of a custom 80-metre superyacht Project Iron Man recently announced amid a staggering 52 active superyacht projects, according to BOATPro.
