{"id":5704,"date":"2023-02-09T11:02:00","date_gmt":"2023-02-09T03:02:00","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/?p=5704"},"modified":"2023-02-12T21:04:54","modified_gmt":"2023-02-12T13:04:54","slug":"twin-vee-suzuki-to-unveil-new-eco-catamaran-at-mibs","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/en\/latest-news\/archives\/5704","title":{"rendered":"Twin Vee, Suzuki to unveil new \u2018ECO\u2019 catamaran at MIBS"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 240 DC ECO will be on display in Miami next week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Twin Vee PowerCats will unveil its new 240 DC ECO at the Suzuki Oasis at the Venetian Marina &amp; Yacht Club during the Miami International Boat Show (MIBS) next week.<\/p>\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-image\">\n<figure class=\"aligncenter size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"413\" height=\"276\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/0209boa1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-5702\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/0209boa1.png 413w, https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2023\/02\/0209boa1-300x200.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 413px) 100vw, 413px\" \/><figcaption class=\"wp-element-caption\">Twin Vee\u2019s 24ft dual console catamaran,<br> the 240 DC ECO<\/figcaption><\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The 24ft dual console catamaran was built to honour the sustainable, environmentally conscious theme of Suzuki\u2019s Clean Ocean Project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Twin Vee used sustainable material in building the vessel, with a strong carbon fibre outer layer that is 35% lighter than conventional fibreglass construction and a lightweight yet stiff balsa core, according to a news release from the company.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe natural and renewable balsa wood used on the boat is the first carbon-neutral core material in the world. The balsa tree grows fast, has low to medium density, and possesses best-in-class weight-specific mechanical properties,\u201d explained Joseph Visconti, CEO and president of Twin Vee, adding the company sourced its balsa core from 3A Composites.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Composites One, a Twin Vee vendor, provided manufacturing support for the project.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cComposites One has extensive resources for closed moulding techniques and is considered the pre-eminent supplier to the marine industry.
