Italian design studio Marco Ferrari has unveiled its latest superyacht concept, the 115-metre M\/Y 115, designed to combine long-range exploration with cruising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Constructed with a steel hull and aluminium superstructure, the concept has been conceived for worldwide cruising, with an optional Ice Class 1D notation extending her operational capability into colder regions.<\/p>\n\n\n

The 5,000GT concept pairs a hybrid propulsion system with a 7,000-nautical-mile range, an owner’s deck with private helipad and a six-person submarine capable of dives to 1,000 metres. According to the studio, the yacht has been designed to allow owners and potential guests to explore the water \u201cwithout limitations\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Accommodation is for up to 18 guests, centred around a dedicated owner’s deck complete with a private apartment, studio, walk-in wardrobe, observation lounge, outdoor dining area, Jacuzzi and private helipad. Four VIP suites with private balconies and four additional guest cabins complete the accommodation, while separate guest and crew circulation, supported by dedicated lifts, is intended to maximise privacy on board.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Leisure spaces are spread across multiple decks and include an 11-metre infinity pool with a glass-bottom section, a winter garden, private cinema and fully equipped gym.<\/p>\n\n\n

At sea level, the beach club incorporates a spa and an indoor pool with sea views, two fold-down terraces and a skylight that extend the waterside living space. Guests can also access a dedicated Nemo Lounge, offering underwater views of the surrounding marine environment.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Other notable features include twin helipads positioned on the bridge deck and sundeck, allowing greater operational flexibility during worldwide cruising.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Exploration forms a central part of the concept’s brief. Alongside two 12-metre limo tenders, a 10-metre open tender and a 6.5-metre RHIB, M\/Y 115 is designed to carry a six-person submarine capable of reaching depths of approximately 1,000 metres, in addition to diving equipment, Jet Skis, Seabobs, kayaks, inflatables and other watersports equipment.<\/p>\n\n\n

Power comes from a hybrid propulsion system combining main engines, generators and a large-capacity battery bank. According to the studio, the arrangement is designed to optimise energy use, reduce engine loads and enable quieter operation with lower local emissions.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The concept has a projected range of approximately 7,000 nautical miles, making it suitable for extended passages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

M\/Y 115 joins Marco Ferrari’s growing portfolio of large-scale superyacht concepts, following the unveiling of the 137.5-metre Project Neptune in 2023, which proposed hydrogen propulsion and a similarly exploration-focused design philosophy.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
