{"id":1840,"date":"2021-09-23T11:01:50","date_gmt":"2021-09-23T03:01:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/?p=1840"},"modified":"2021-09-23T11:01:51","modified_gmt":"2021-09-23T03:01:51","slug":"updated-hybrid-superyacht-concept-kairos-presented-by-oceanco","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/en\/latest-news\/archives\/1840","title":{"rendered":"Updated hybrid superyacht concept Kairos presented by Oceanco"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Dutch yard Oceanco has released new details and renderings of its 90 metre hybrid superyacht concept Kairos, which was developed in collaboration with design studio Pininfarina.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1841\" width=\"506\" height=\"283\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1.png 1011w, https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1-300x168.png 300w, https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/1-768x430.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 506px) 100vw, 506px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Kairos Oceanco superyacht concept terrace<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The update coincides with the 2021 Monaco Yacht Show and comes after the concept was revealed for the first time in March 2021.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Life on board the 90 metre yacht is described as one &#8220;without boundaries&#8221; by the Dutch yard. \u201cIts exterior has been shaped to evoke a peaceful oasis in which to relax and enjoy time on your own terms,\u201d the builder said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Described as a \u201cfloating, living island\u201d, Kairos has a symmetrical profile and does not aim towards a \u201cforward direction\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThis elimination of momentum frees those onboard to live fully in the moment, without the sense of urgency to move to a new destination,\u201d Oceanco said.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full is-resized\"><img decoding=\"async\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1843\" width=\"505\" height=\"285\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2.png 1009w, https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2-300x169.png 300w, https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/2-768x433.png 768w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 505px) 100vw, 505px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Elsewhere, key features include a \u201cvast, theatrical piazza\u201d spread across three levels, which is described as breaking \u201cfrom thecanons of conventional yacht design\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">The guest and owner accommodation is all positioned on the lower deck, allowing for a \u201cgreater sense of space and flow across the main level\u2019s guest areas\u201d.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\"><br>The builder also revealed more details about the design\u2019s E-Hybrid propulsion system, which uses batteries as the primary source of energy. Diesel generators meanwhile are used for battery charging and high-speed cruising.
