Turkish shipyard AvA Yachts has announced the delivery of the first unit from its Kando 85 explorer yacht series. According to BOATPro, she is already cruising along the coast of Cyprus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 25.7-metre new build, christened V, was launched in June from the yard’s facilities in the Antalya Free Zone. She is scheduled to make her debut at the Cannes Yachting Festival and the Monaco Yacht Show in September.<\/p>\n\n\n

The keel of the first Kando 85 was laid in March 2024 under speculation. Her sale was announced early last year, in a deal facilitated by Maria Razumi of Smart Yachts, who introduced the buyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A “long-distance cruiser”, the yacht has been constructed in aluminium and steel, with an underwater thickness ranging from eight to 10 millimetres and watertight bulkheads for safety. On board, the model features spacious living areas and generous storage capacity required for extended voyages.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

An interior volume of 160GT has been arranged in a four-cabin configuration, including a master suite forward on the main deck and a full-beam VIP on the lower deck. Meanwhile, on deck, a swim platform, built-in seating and a dining table for outdoor entertaining are located aft, while up top, the flybridge is complete with a grill, bar and sunbathing space.<\/p>\n\n\n

“We are delighted to see V meet the water for the first time,” said founder and chairman of AvA Yachts, Atilla K\u00fc\u00e7\u00fckdiker, at the yacht’s launch in June. “This launch is the result of the trust placed in us by the owners and the dedication of our entire team. I would also like to thank Smart Yachts and especially Maria Razumi for their support and commitment throughout the project. We are proud to deliver another yacht that embodies the explorer spirit of the Kando series.”<\/p>\n\n\n

Powered by twin Volvo Penta D13MG 408 hp engines, the Kando 85 is expected to reach a maximum speed of 12 knots, a cruising speed of nine knots and a range of over 5,000 nautical miles.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the yard, the launch of V marked an important milestone for AvA Yachts and its expanding portfolio of explorers. Hull two of the Kando 85 is listed for sale with Smart Yachts and scheduled for delivery in Q2 of 2027.<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
