Bodrum-based shipyard BOA Yachts has announced that its 40-metre wooden motorsailer yacht, Boa Kingdom, <\/em>has officially hit the water in Turkey, with sea trials already underway. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Built in full compliance with RINA Class regulations, Boa Kingdom<\/em> marks the brand’s first new build project, developed to meet the “growing global demand for high-specification, performance-oriented sailing yachts”. Delivery is expected this summer, after which the yacht will be available for charter across the Mediterranean. <\/p>\n\n\n

According to\u00a0BOATPro, construction on the new build began in July 2023, with her technical launch completed late last year. Naval architecture has been led by\u00a0Fuat Turan, with the fully custom 345GT yacht built in collaboration with \u00c7avu\u015fo\u011flu Shipyard \u2013 a specialist in wood-epoxy laminate construction.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“We prefer wood for the\u00a0Boa Kingdom\u00a0<\/em>because of its remarkable fatigue resistance, ensuring longevity,” said a BOA Yachts spokesperson at her technical launch. “Also, wood is the most environmentally friendly option and does not harm the health of people on board.”<\/p>\n\n\n

Accommodation is for up to 12 guests in five cabins with a further complement for seven crew. Boa Kingdom<\/em> boasts 345 square metres of outdoor living space, including a 16-square-metre swimming platform, an 84-square-metre flybridge and a Jacuzzi located on the bow.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Powered by twin 600hp Volvo engines,\u00a0Boa Kingdom<\/em>\u00a0can reach top speeds of 15 knots and a cruising speed of 12 knots. She has a beam of 8.9 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n
