{"id":1754,"date":"2021-09-22T16:52:50","date_gmt":"2021-09-22T08:52:50","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/?p=1754"},"modified":"2021-09-22T16:52:51","modified_gmt":"2021-09-22T08:52:51","slug":"florida-governor-ron-desantis-to-deliver-ibex-keynote","status":"publish","type":"post","link":"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/en\/latest-news\/archives\/1754","title":{"rendered":"Florida governor Ron DeSantis to deliver IBEX keynote"},"content":{"rendered":"\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cChampion of the recreational boating industry\u201d to deliver opening remarks at annual industry breakfast and awards cerermony on September 28<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Florida governor Ron DeSantis will deliver the annual industry breakfast keynote at IBEX next week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Organisers of the Internationa Boatbuilders\u2019 Exhibition and Conference (IBEX) trade show have announced that Florida governor Ron DeSantis will deliver the opening keynote address during its annual industry breakfast and awards ceremony.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cGovernor DeSantis has been a champion of the recreational boating industry since his time in congress and we are honored to have him join us at our preeminent trade event,\u201d said National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) president, Frank Hugelmeyer.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cIBEX provides a unique opportunity to showcase the industry\u2019s latest and greatest innovations and we look forward to sharing this experience with the governor.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">Scheduled to kick off the opening day of IBEX, the industry breakfast and awards ceremony will be held at the new JW Marriott Tampa Water Street hotel from 7:30 to 9:30 am.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<figure class=\"wp-block-image size-full\"><img fetchpriority=\"high\" decoding=\"async\" width=\"571\" height=\"377\" src=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/0922en.png\" alt=\"\" class=\"wp-image-1755\" srcset=\"https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/0922en.png 571w, https:\/\/www.boatshowchina.com\/wp-content\/uploads\/2021\/09\/0922en-300x198.png 300w\" sizes=\"(max-width: 571px) 100vw, 571px\" \/><\/figure>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">IBEX returns to the Tampa Convention Center next week<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cWe are excited to welcome Governor DeSantis to IBEX and honoured to have him speak during our industry breakfast event,\u201d said IBEX show director, Anne Dunbar.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">\u201cThe innovation that is highlighted at IBEX matters not only to Florida, but to the entire marine industry, so we thank the governor for making time in his busy schedule to be with us.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">DeSantis graduated with honors from Yale University and Harvard Law School. He subsequently served in the US Navy, earning the Bronze Star medal for meritorious service and the Iraq campaign medal. Following military service he served as a federal prosecutor before being elected to the US House of Representatives.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">North America\u2019s largest trade event for recreational marine industry professionals, IBEX is owned and produced by the National Marine Manufacturers Association (NMMA) and RAI Amsterdam.
