Van der Valk’s custom 35.9-metre superyacht\u00a0Jangada\u00a0<\/em>has been delivered. According to\u00a0BOATPro, the new build has departed the builder’s facilities in Waalwijk, the Netherlands, and is now en route to Plymouth, UK.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Jangada<\/em>‘s delivery follows her sea trials in the North Sea, for which the shipyard noted that she “delivered on every expectation”. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The custom yacht was launched from the Van der Valk’s facilities in November, commissioned by a repeat client of the Dutch builders, who previously owned a\u00a025-metre\u00a0and\u00a032-metre\u00a0under the same name – the latter of which was nominated for a\u00a0World Superyacht Award\u00a0in 2020.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The first\u00a0Jangada<\/em>\u00a0was launched in 2015 as one of Van der Valk’s earliest raised pilothouse models and has since inspired “a number of notable projects for other clients”, according to the shipyard. All three builds were developed in collaboration with the shipyard and designers\u00a0Nick Top\u00a0and\u00a0Guido de Groot.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The 35.9-metre build has been designed to accommodate a growing family as well as “structural changes” to the owner’s home berth in the Bay of St Tropez. An additional deck and higher levels of noise and vibration attenuation were requested, which guided the shipyard to elect a steel hull, aluminium superstructure and extensive sound insulation throughout.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Standout amenities onboard Jangada<\/em> include her dedicated gym, 2.6-metre-high ceilings, expansive windows and jet-stream pool. The latter is positioned on the flybridge and measures 4.5 metres long and 1.5 metres deep.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Interiors, meanwhile, are said to showcase whitewashed wood details combined with “architectural functionality”. The layout is family-friendly, including a full-beam owner’s suite forward of the main deck and the lower deck cabins, which have been customised for the owner’s children and grandchildren.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to\u00a0BOATPro, Van der Valk has five yachts on order or under construction. This includes its largest custom superyacht to date, the 47.8-metre Project Zen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
