Italian studio DYDXL Design Forge has unveiled a new 30.5-metre explorer yacht concept known as Hoia100.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Designed to be a “new chapter in contemporary explorer yacht design”, Hoia100 is said to combine the volumes, capabilities and bold profile of an explorer yacht in a “more accessible and versatile size”. An autonomy of 3,500 nautical miles allows the yacht to travel for extended exploration, while a diesel-electric propulsion package enables reduced environmental impact in protected areas alongside efficient cruising.<\/p>\n\n\n

One of Hoia100\u2019s most distinctive features is its innovative toy storage and deployment system, which has been designed to maximise space while preserving the clean exterior lines across the vessel’s profile.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

A tender is stored aft in the “multifunctional beach club compartment”, which can be configured in a number of configurations depending on the owner’s needs. When closed, the hatch functions as a flush deck surface, furnished with sun loungers, before sliding beneath the main deck floor for the tender to be launched. Once deployed, the previous tender space can be filled with water and transformed into a swimming pool, while fold-down side platforms open the area into a large “sea terrace”.<\/p>\n\n\n

Other storage features include the dedicated jet ski locker at the bow, which, when closed, transforms into a convenient sunbathing area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Inside, accommodation is offered for up to 10 guests in four guest cabins and an owner’s suite, in addition to a crew of four. Hoia100\u2019s interior layout is designed around flexibility and comfort, inspired by the lifestyle of modern explorers. There are two main interior lounges, one on the main deck and one on the upper deck, while the flybridge is conceived as a social hub with a dining area, bar and sunbathing spaces, all curated to be adaptable to different moments of the day and different cruising scenarios.<\/p>\n\n\n

“At its core, Hoia100 is about bringing the explorer yacht philosophy to a more accessible and versatile size,” explained designer and studio founder Franco Gnessi. “It delivers the robustness, autonomy and operational mindset of expedition yachts, combined with modern design, convertible spaces and efficient propulsion.”<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Powered by two Volvo IPS40 units paired with three Volvo D13 generators, the Hoia100 has a projected top speed of 16 knots and a cruising speed of 14 knots. Key specs include a volume of 110GT, an 8.2-metre beam and a shallow draft of 1.8 metres.<\/p>\n\n\n

The explorer \u2013 which can be built in a fibreglass or aluminium construction \u2013 is also capable of operating in full-electric mode for up to 30 minutes for silent, zero-emission navigation.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
