Dutch yard Damen Yachting has announced the sale of its latest Amels 80 model, which is already under construction ahead of delivery in spring 2028. Sold in collaboration with Burgess, the new build reaffirms the success of the series, which has six units to date according to BOATPro.<\/p>\n\n\n

The Amels 80 series has a masculine profile by veteran design Espen \u00d8ino, with this unit featuring a “bespoke, innovative interior” by Sinot Yacht Architecture & Design. A defining feature of the Amels 80 is its 200-square-metre sundeck \u2013 one of the largest in her class \u2013 alongside the 6.5-metre, glass-bottomed swimming pool on the main deck, which filters natural light into the beach club below.<\/p>\n\n\n

The beach club has three openings and is designed for wellbeing with a spa, gym, sauna and massage room. As with all Amels 80 models, there will be customisations on board this latest unit, though they are yet to be confirmed. Accommodation will be for up to 14 guests across seven cabins.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

“The Amels 80 has proven to be a prestigious design, and we are thrilled to have sold the most recent yacht,” said Jan van Hogerwou, the yard’s north america sales director. “Working alongside Burgess once again accentuates our shared commitment to delivering world-class yachts and service to our clients.”<\/p>\n\n\n

The Amels 80 will feature “advanced hybrid propulsion” for a maximum speed of 16.5 knots. Other key specs include a 12.5-metre beam and a volume of 2,175GT.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

This continues a busy period for Damen Yachting, with the double delivery of the first Xplorer 60 model After You, her support vessel Emotional, and its sale of the fourth YS 53 support vessel.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
