The 55.5-metre Feadship superyacht Solace has just completed a ten-month refit at Pendennis’ facility in Falmouth, UK. Sea trials will commence later this week, with the yacht expected to set sail from the UK shortly afterwards.<\/p>\n\n\n

Works involved an exterior repaint, a full interior refresh focused on the guest and owner spaces, the addition of a supernumerary cabin on the bridge deck, and a major stern extension, which increased her LOA to 57 metres. As a result, the beach club has also been reimagined to feature an integrated sauna.<\/p>\n\n\n

The motivation behind these refit works is\u202fSolace\u2019s preparation for her upcoming three-year circumnavigation with EYOS Expeditions. Known as the Solace Odyssey, the yacht will explore locales including Norway, Japan, Indonesia, French Polynesia and Antarctica. Clients will be able to book single trips or sequential “chapters” over the course of the circumnavigation that follow a personalised storyline.<\/p>\n\n\n

Delivered in 2005 by Dutch yard Feadship, Solace (then Twizzle)’s impressive in-house design \u2013 and light, contemporary RWD interiors \u2013 won her the “Best Custom Motor Yacht (51m – 65m)” category at the 2006 World Superyacht Awards.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On board highlights include several al fresco dining areas, an open-air gym portside and a sundeck Jacuzzi, backed by sunpads and a shaded lounge area.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
