Athens-based studio IPYD, founded by designer Ira Petromanolaki, has revealed its latest superyacht concept named AETHER, designed for Oceanco’s Simply Custom range.<\/p>\n\n\n

First presented at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show in 2023, the 80-metre model is part of the Dutch builder\u2019s initiative to offer bespoke design flexibility on a standardised technical platform by Lateral Naval Architects.<\/p>\n\n\n

The latest addition to the range is the geometrically inspired AETHER, which draws on the symbolic qualities of triangles to shape its identity, referencing balance, convergence and harmony. The yacht\u2019s lines are described as sleek and continuous, designed to give the impression of infinite flow and visual convergence toward the horizon.<\/p>\n\n\n

According to the studio, the yacht\u2019s sculptural profile is intended to evoke a sense of ethereal beauty and unity, derived from the ancient Greek concept of \u201caether\u201d \u2013 the pure upper air breathed by the gods.<\/p>\n\n\n

While few details have been released about the interior, the design is centred around the owner\u2019s experience, with an emphasis on connection to nature, personalisation, and fluid spatial composition. Initial renderings hint at a calming, neutral palette with soft lighting in the open-plan beach club, which houses a spa pool, bar with stools and sun loungers.<\/p>\n\n\n

AETHER joins a growing line-up of Simply Custom concepts, including Ani by Rome-based studio Vallicelli Design and Dunes by Amsterdam-based the Touch Studio.<\/p>\n\n\n
