The latest addition to Nemo’s lineup is the automatic airlock pantograph door, developed specifically for side-access openings on superyachts. “Nemo is a historical brand in the marine sector,\u201d says Lorenzo Cesari, head of sales for the superyacht division at Quick Group. \u201cIt has 54 years of history in GRP manufacturing.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n

The seal is maintained at a constant temperature, which enhances onboard safety and reliability. \u201cThis was a new requirement from shipyards, which are seeking a more reliable solution to watertightness and heat retention.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
In case of a rare system failure, an emergency handle allows manual operation, and the seal can be manually inflated as well. The door\u2019s design is fully customisable, from size and shape to paint colours \u2013 both inside and out \u2013 to the glazing.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

<\/figure>\n<\/div>\n\n\nThis airlock system not only guarantees a perfect seal, reducing maintenance on support levers, but also enhances the yacht\u2019s energy efficiency by minimising heat or cooling transfer. Another key feature is its compatibility with GRP hulls. As GRP hulls and superstructures naturally shift over time, gaps can form, but the inflatable seal adjusts to these changes, ensuring continued watertightness.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
\u201cThis complements the range of manual and semi-automatic pantograph doors already available in the Nemo range, but this is the first time we have made a fully automatic pantograph door with an inflatable seal,\u201d adds Cesari. \u201cIn fact, although some heavy-duty applications for things like stern doors exist, this is a first in the industry for a pantograph side door.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n
Sanguineti Riviera windlasses and capstans<\/h3>\n\n\n\n
Designed for superyachts up to 70 metres LOA, the new Riviera range of windlasses and capstans by Sanguineti offers modern features for enhanced performance. \u201cSanguineti has 65 years of heritage and has been a leading manufacturer of windlasses for decades, and many of its products are still operational on yachts 40 years on,\u201d Cesari explains.<\/p>\n\n\n

Each model in the Riviera range features AISI 316 stainless steel bases and reducers with excellent anti-corrosive properties. The lightweight yet durable construction, along with an optimised drum design, provides a superior grip.<\/p>\n\n\n
